Dennis Itumbi released on Ksh 100,000 cash bail

State House Digital Director Dennis itumbi has on Wednesday been freed on Ksh 100,000 cash bail by a Nairobi Court.

Dennis Itumbi who was arrested last week in connection with an assassination letter linked to Deputy President William Ruto.

Magistrate Zainab Abdul differed with the Prosecution for failing to provide enough evidence that he will interfere with investigations once released.

She also faulted the Prosecution for failing to proof how many members of team Tanga Tanga have been questioned over the allegations.

Itumbi has however been released on condition that he should report to Muthaiga Police Station on a daily basis except weekends.

In addition to that, he has been warned from making any comments about the case on social media platforms.

The Prosecution team which had requested the court to hold him for nine more days as investigation continue, have been ordered to return Itumbi’s phone, power bank and sim card when the nine days elapse.

Through his defense lawyer Katwa Kigen, Dennis Itumbi faulted the prosecution for making him spend five days in custody at the expense of his freedom.

Kigen further proved to the court that his client will not in any wat interfere with case once he is released on bail.

Muthaga OCS in trouble over Itumbi’s photos

Last week on Friday, Muthaiga OSC was in trouble after photos of Dennis Itumbi and friends went viral on social media.

Muthaiga OCS Kemengua was interdicted on Friday by the relevant authorities who say that he allowed friends of the suspect too much time outside detention.

Among the friends who visited Itumbi was Citizen TV presenter Jacque Maribe who posed for a photo as they seemingly shared moments of laughter.

Last week Thursday Itumbi admitted to owning a video recording showing the heads who attended the Hotel La Mada meeting.
