Governor Stephen Sang charged and released on Ksh1M bond

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has on Tuesday been charged for the destruction of Kibwari tea estate in Nandi hills.

Appearing before a Kisumu court, Governor Stephen Sang was charged with malicious damage, incitement and abuse of office.

He however denied the three charges and was released on a Ksh 1 million bond or Ksh 500,000 cash bail.

Last week on Friday and Saturday, Governor Stephen Sang led residents to clear Kibwari tea estate before going underground after the incident.

He however made his first public appearance on Monday before he was taken in for questioning.
