The Gatundu South MP proceeded by saying that the agenda of the meeting was on development issues affecting the region and not a plot to assassinate the Deputy President.
Hotel La Mada assassination plot
On Monday four Cabinet Secretaries were summoned to the DCI headquarters to record a statement on the alleged plot to assassinate DP William Ruto. The four CS’s include Peter Munya (Trade), Sicily Kariuki (Health), Joe Mucheru(ICT) and James Macharia (Transport).
Addressing the media outside DCI offices, three CS’s denied the allegations saying they were at the hotel to discuss matter of development affecting Mount Kenya region.
Trade CS Peter Munya further said that a phone call was made while they were at the DCI offices claiming that they were plotting to kill the DP.
He condemned the accusation saying it portrayed them in bad light making them look like criminals thus affecting their reputation.
DCI boss George Kinoti latter said they have called on the Deputy President to come forward and record a statement on the allegation made on Monday.
