Sudanese officials have denied that at least 100 people have been killed during a protest saying the number stands at 46 in the latest Sudan news. The latest Sudan news indicated at least 100 people were killed during the anti-democracy a figure that was reported by doctors linked to the opposition. On Tuesday at least 40 bodies were pulled out of River Nile in Khartoum as the authority stayed quiet over the issue. On Thursday the number is said to stand at 46 as the Sudanese opposition activist rejected talks with the military council saying it cannot be trusted. Residents are now living in fear as the military council say that protesters have been used by rogue elements and drug dealers. The feared paramilitary unit the Rapid Support Forces is said to be roaming the streets targeting civilians. Doctors fear in latest Sudan news As residents are coming to terms with the violence, doctors are living in fear of reporting to work in the latest Sudan news. In fear of being targeted, doctors have now left medical students to take of the patients as some report to have been shot. Trouble in Sudan began after the ousting of long term President Omar al-Bashir from power as the military council took over. Demonstrators standing outside the military headquarters are said to have agreed with the military council for a three-year transition leading to elections. On Monday morning things changed as the security forces opened fire on unarmed protesters as the head of military council said that agreement was canceled and that the elections will be held in nine -months’ time.
