Sonko offers Waiguru free maternity at Pumwani hospital

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has on Sunday welcomed newlywed Governor Anne Waiguru to Pumwani Hospital for free delivery

Governor Mike Sonko was speaking as he congratulated Governor Waiguru and Lawyer Waiganjo who tied the knot on Saturday.

“Before the honeymoon begins let me take this earliest opportunity on behalf of my family and the great people of Nairobi to Congratulate my colleague from Kirinyaga HE ANN WAIGURU for getting married to Wakili Waiganjo.

May the Lord bless your marriage. May you have a safe delivery on your bundle of joy on the way. You are welcome to enjoy the state-of-the-art maternity facilities at Pumwani hospital where the 1st lady of Nairobi is also set to deliver there in a couple of months to come.” Said Sonko

The Saturday grand traditional ceremony was attended by top government officials including President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

So good was the event that saw President Uhuru Kenyatta dance to the surprise of many.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta today attended the traditional wedding ceremony of Kirinyaga Governor @AnneWaiguru and lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo at Kiamugumo Primary School, Kirinyaga County..” Said State House Kenya.

Other guests of the day were Wiper leader Kalanzo Musyoka, sports CS Amina Mohammed, PS Karanja Kibicho, transport CS James Macharia and Siaya Senator James Orengo.

DP William Ruto was one of the notable leaders who was absent at the colorful ceremony.
