Kenya has confirmed an additional 123 cases of coronavirus bringing the total number of cases in the country to 2,216.
The new cases are from 2,112 samples collected raising the number of samples tested to 85,058 since the first case was confirmed.
Nairobi had 44 new cases, Mombasa 34, Busia 20, Uasin Gishu 12, Kiambu 3, Kajiado 3, Nyeri 3, Kilifi 2 as Garissa and Laikipia with a case each.

In terms of gender 90 of the new cases were man while 33 were female who are aged between 8-years and 84-years.
54 patients were discharged after recovering from the virus bringing the total of recoveries to 553.
“This now brings to 553 people the number of individuals who have recovered from the disease in the country.”
Three people sadly passed away due to the virus as CAS Dr. Aman confirmed they were all male with the youngest being 12-years of age.
The other two were 41-years and 71-years of age with two of three deaths being recorded in Nairobi and one from Nyeri.
