Kenya has on Thursday confirmed 788 new COVID-19 deaths with the number of confirmed infections rising to 19,913.
Confirming the new numbers was Health CAS Rashid Aman who said a total of 5521 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 788 new cases 3 are foreigners with 785 being Kenyans.The youngest was 1-year of age.

“Today, the Country has recorded 788 new Covid-19 cases out of a Sample of 5521. From today’s New Covid-19 cases, 785 people are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners; youngest case involves a 1 year old.”Said the Ministry of Health.
Nairobi had the largest number of new cases at 487, Kiambu 86, Nakuru 34, Kajiado 26, Mombasa 25, Machakos 21, Busia 20, Narok 14, Bomet 9, Kericho 8, Siaya 8, Kisumu 8, Uasin Gishu 5, Baringo 5 and Nyeri 5.
On a positive note, 100 patients recovered from the virus, 8 of them from home-based care and 92 from various hospitals in the country.
“It’s a relief as 100 people recovered from Covid-19. 92 discharged from various hospital,8 were from home care program.
The Country now records a total number of recoveries to 8,121 after 100 people recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hrs.”
Sadly 14 more people died from the virus bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 325.
