Among the 15 arrested include 7 women and 4 men.

The Arrest comes at a time when the Government has put up a strong fight against illegal immigrants. Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’I said any immigrant operating illegally in the country will not be spared.

Those targeted during the crackdown include tourist who come into the country but instead run business.

More than 30 government officials have been sacked after being implicated in the saga involving illegal immigrants.

It’s also believed that some of the foreigners hide in the country after being accused of serious matters including terrorism back in their countries. Dr. Fred Matiang’I also said that no citizen or government official will be spared if found guilty of assisting the illegal foreigners in any way.

Just last month, another Chinese official was arrested after a video of him speaking racist remarks went viral.

Mr. Liu jiaqi did not only insult Kenyans but also the president. Leaders among the Nairobi governor Mike Sonko asked if anyone knows where he can be found so that immediate action can be taken against him.

He was however arrested and immediately processed for deportation.

Kenyans were however angry calling for his arrest first before deportation.

Others recalled similar measures that other countries take in such scenario.

The Chinese Embassy later released a statement saying the accused Li Jiaqi’s words did not represent their own.
