68-year-old man jailed for life for defiling 10-year-old girl

A Isiolo court has sentenced a 68-year-old man to life in prison after he was found guilty of defiling a 10-year-old girl.

The man who has been identified as Gerald Murungi is reported to have raped the little girl in different dates between June 8th and June 13th 2018.

It was also established that the 68-year-old man had lured the young girl into his home before locking him inside for three days.

“A 68-year old man has been jailed for life by an Isiolo court for defiling a 10-year old girl on diverse dates between June 8 and June 13, 2018

Gerald Murungi is said to have lured the girl into his house while she was playing before locking inside and defiling her for three days.” Said Thika Town Today

The news comes barely two weeks after a man committed suicide a month after defiling an 11-year-old girl.

His lifeless body was found at River Chania as reports indicate that he might have consumed poison.

Since the incident occurred, the man went into hiding as investigations continue.He is believed to have been hiding in the cave all along.
