Kenya has on Sunday confirmed 690 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the accumulative confirmed number of cases to 22,053.
681 of the new cases are Kenyans and nine being foreigners comprising of 492 males and 198 females aged between 6-months and 83-years.
“Today’s cases, 690 people have tested positive for the virus. Total positive cases so far 22,053 & our cumulative tests are 315,723.From the cases 681 are Kenyans & 9 foreigners with 492 males &198 females.Youngest is 6 months infant & the oldest is 83 year old.”

Nairobi continued to lead with 535 cases, Kiambu 56, Kajiado 28, Nyeri 24, Busia 9, Machakos 7, Nakuru 6, Kisumu 6, Embu 4, Garissa 4, Laikipia 3, Narok 3 as Mombasa, Meru, Nyandarua, Bungoma and Kwale recording a case each.
The number of recoveries rose to 8,477 as 58 more patients recovered were discharged from the various hospitals in the country.
“We are happy to inform that 58 patients have been discharged from various hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,477. We congratulate our health care workers for this effort.” Said M.O.H
In the last 24 hours, 5 patients succumbed from the virus bringing the number of deaths to 369.
“On a sad note, 5 patients died from the disease, bringing our fatality to 369. Our sincere condolences to the bereaved families and friends of the departed.” Said M.O.H
