A Multi-agency security team based at Mugie Camp has impounded 58 heads of cattle being driven by illegal herders into Mugie ranch.
“Earlier today, the Mugie Camp Multi-agency Security Team while on patrol near Dam Samoa, impounded a herd of 58 heads of cattle that had been driven into Mugie Ranch by illegal herders.” Said National Police Service.
Two suspects managed to escape the scene as the police placed the cattle in safe custody pending to be collected by the rightful owners. Police have vowed to continue with such operations.

“Two suspects fled fearing arrest by the security team. The herd has been placed in safe custody awaiting collection by the owners as the security team engages communities living in the area to respect private properties and the law.
More patrols have been enhanced to flush out illegal herders and subsequently avert conflicts with property owners and local communities.” Said National Police Service.
