Accident causes Governor Nyon’go to undergo surgery

Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyon’go is recuperating following a bad accident while in Nyeri.

Governor Nyon’go who is currently at Agakhan Hospital slipped on Tuesday evening and fell on a pavement while walking fracturing his arm.

The governor was attending the 2nd National Universal Health Conference in Nyeri where he addressed people with a sling in his arm.

Following the accident, Mr. Nyong’o was in cruciating pain forcing him to seek consultation from a doctor in Nyeri. An X-ray was done and it revealed a fractured Humerus bone.

“Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o was in Nyeri County on Tuesday evening to attend the 2nd National Universal Health Conference. Yesterday, he addressed the conference in the morning wearing a sling on his left arm.

The Governor slipped Tuesday evening and fell on a pavement while walking and fractured his left arm. With excruciating pain, he consulted a doctor in Nyeri and an X-ray was performed, revealing the fracture of the Humerus bone.” Said Governor Nyon’go communication team.

He underwent surgery at the Agakhan Hospital and currently he is recovering.

Other accident

It’s the second time that the governor has fractured his bone with the last one being a fracture to the hip bone.

He was also forced to undergo surgery which happened in the United States of America.

At the time of the surgery, he was forced to stay abroad until when he got better. His hip injury happened sometimes back when he was involved in an accident only for the pain to come afterwards.

He advised Kenyans not to ignore the little injuries people get into as they have a side effect afterwards.
