Newly acquired Bombardier Q400 from Tanzania has been held in Canada.
Confirming the seizure was Tanzania Foreign Affair Minister Palamagamba Kabudi.
The Air Tanzania plane was impounded by Canadian authorities following a request made by one South African farmer by the name of Hermanus Steyn.

According to the farmer, he is demanding a compensation of 33 million dollars from the Tanzanian government.
The compensation in question is due to a piece of land in question that was seized by the government back in the 1980s.
This is the second time the farmer has called for such a seizure as back in August the same issue happened but was later resolved by the government.
The Foreign Affair Minister confirmed to have informed President Magufulu of the same issue and they will dispatch a legal team to solve it.
