Sports CS Amina Mohamed has threated legal action against the Standard Media group due to a publication she claims is false.
The publication dated Thursday 24th which reads “Kenyans blast CS as netball team is stranded in South Africa” is the main cause of the legal threats.

Details entailed in the publication states how Kenyans felt disappointed with the Ministry of Sports as the national team was bailed out of Cameroon by a well-wisher.
In addition to that lawyer, Donald Kipkorir who represents CS Amina Mohamed claims that Standard Media group went ahead to tweet the false information under the hashtags “shame for representing Kenya and Ministry of Congratulation”

It is due to the above that the CS through her lawyer demands an immediate retraction of the publication both online, on the daily edition of tomorrow and unqualified apology.
Necessary legal action will be undertaken if the said demands fail to be met.

Finally, the CS will enter into a payment plan for the damages caused that is after they comply. In addition to that she will lodge a complaint under the Computer and Cyber Crimes Act, 2018 and Kenya Information and Communication Act, Cap 411A.
