Angry Kisii County residents storm a police station

Over 500 angry youths from Magena, Bomachoge, Kisii County stormed a police station on Saturday accusing the officers of laxity.

The angry youth were protesting after one of their own was killed by criminals on Friday forcing the officers to seek safer zones.

A nearby GSU camp and police stations acted as reinforcement to the surrounded officers.

Demanding for justice, the protesters called for an immediate report into the murder and as to why the body of the deceased was found a few meters from the police station.

Blocking the Kisii-Kilgoris road, the angry youths vandalized the police station demanding for justice and quick investigation.

It took the intervention of a area assistant County Commander to calm them as he promised a quick investigation int the murder.

The body of the deceased is said to have heard deep cut wounds as the police claimed to have been dragged near the station by unknown people.

Further reports indicate that the area is filled a number of unresolved murder cases.
