Nairobi officially has a new Governor following the searing in of Ann Kananu on Tuesday morning.
Kananu who takes over from impeached Governor Mike Sonko will be the third Governor of the capital city and first female to hold office.
Her swearing in had been rocked by a number of court battles leveled by former Governor Mike Sonko who opposed his impeachment by the Senate in December 2020.
