Anthoine Hubert, formula 2 driver dies at Belgium Grand Prix

Anthoine Hubert a formula 2 driver has died following a car crush in Belgium as confirmed by the motorsport governing body.

22-year old Anthoine Hubert is said to have died following a deadly impact from fellow driver Juan Manuel Correa from the United States.

Medical team on the ground rushed Hubert to a medical center but he was pronounced dead shortly. Correa on the other hand is said to be in a stable condition.

Sunday’s spa race has been cancelled following the crush out of respect of the deadly clash that just happened.

McLaren team shared their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of formula 2 driver saying ” It is with deep sadness that McLaren Racing learns of the passing of Anthoine Hubert in today’s Formula 2 race. The team sends its heartfelt condolences to Anthoine’s family and loved ones, his colleagues at the Arden team, and the entire F2 community.”

Renault F1 team recognized the 22-year old achievements describing him as one of the brightest young talents.

They continued by saying “Renault Sport Racing is devastated at the loss of one of its brightest young talents, Anthoine Hubert, who passed away today following an accident involving several cars at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps. The 22-year-old Frenchman was racing for BWT-Arden in the FIA F2 Championship.
