Arsenal extended their pre-season run of wins beating Crystal Palace in their first Premier League fixture of the season.
Two goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were enough to record a solid win against Patrick Viera’s side who recorded mixed results in the pre-season.
The Gunners came into the match full of energy as they pushed their opponents defense threating to take an early lead before Martinelli’s attempt failed to hit the back of the net.

Their hard work paid off after new signing Oleksandr Zinchenko’s header was nodded home by Martinelli in the 20th minute to earn Mikel Arteta the lead.
After losing majority of the possession in the early minutes of the clash, Crystal Palace took control of the clash forcing Aaron Ramsdale to make an important save after Odsonne Edouard’s effort came off his hands.

Arteta who made it his duty to model a new Arsenal, brought in a team of talented youngster into his already young side to cause all sought of challenges in the Premier League.
The signings of Zinchenko and Jesus has already paid off with the former Manchester City players brought in more depth and a shift in their style of play.
Speaking after the clash, Arteta confirmed the pending arrival of new signings that they have been planning as a club.
