Arsenal has been forced to cancel their planned pre-season tour of the US following COVID-19 cases at the club as confirmed by the Athletic.
According to the report, a few officials at the club have tested positive for the virus thus blocking manager Mikel Arteta’s preparations ahead of the new season. The affected have already gone into isolation pending further tests.

In the US, the Gunners were to take on Inter Milan on July 25th before facing the winner between Everton and Millonarios in the Florida Cup.
After the tournament, Mikel Arteta’s side was to prepare for the new season and get their new signing up and ready to cover up for those who have departed and those are about to depart.
The Gunners have so far confirmed two new arrivals that is Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokongo with additional players expected in the next few days or weeks. Ben White is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
Other areas they are looking to strengthen is the attacking midfielder role and strike as Alexander Lacazette is poised to leave in the coming weeks.
