Arsenal is reported to have completed the signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille in a record fee of 80 million Pounds.
In a statement issued by an Italian journalist Nicolo Shira, Pepe has signed for Arsenal and has been offered a five-year deal ending 2024.
In addition to the deal, the Gunners are said to have agreed to pay the Ivorian 6 million pounds a year.
The Lille winger whose agreement was reached last week was set to be announced by the club in the next 48 hours but so far nothing has been said.
Napoli had also shown interest in the winger and are also said to have met his evaluation but the Ivorian’s agents declined their offer.
So far Arsenal has signed three players including Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid on a season-long loan.
Dan will replace departed Ramsey’s position even though the club looks week in their defense.
Also signed was William Saliba from Saint Etienne for a fee of around 27 million pounds but the defender rejoined the Ligue 1 club on loan.
Pepe has termed as a threat playing from the right-wing before cutting with his left foot.
