Arsenal score in the second half to win against Sporting Lisbon

A solitary goal from Denny Welbeck gave English side Arsenal a deserved win against Sporting Lisbon of Portugal.

The only goal of the match came in the 77th minute after an Aubamayeng flick landed in the legs of Danny Welbeck who confidently sent it between the legs of the goal keeper and into the net.

In the first half of the match Sporting Lisbon took the better possession of the game attacking and causing problems in the Arsenal defense team.

Quick runs from former Manchester United winger Nani troubled Arsenal but they looked composed at the back.

Sporting Lisbon wasted plenty of chances in the first half after winning plenty of comers in their favour.

Arsenal who started the game without Mesut Ozil,Lacazetti,Alex Iwobi and Torreira who made up a strong bench team as Aaron Ramsey captained the game.

Nani came close to scoring before the second half before his shot went inches above the goal post.

When the ball came into Welbeck’s feet, he made no mistake but give Arsenal a convincing 1-0 victory.
