In 2013, Ramsdale joined Sheffield United from Bolton Wanderers and was immediately included in their youth system.

He however joined Bournemouth in 2017 on a three year contract and spent part of his time on loan at Chesterfield and AFC Wimbledon. He helped them retain the League One cup.

He later rejoined Sheffield in 2020 and was included in their Premier League squad in the just concluded season. Back at Arsenal he will wear the number 32 shirt.

At the moment, he will undergo some regulatory processes before he is intergrated in the squad to face Chelsea on Sunday.

The arrival of the 23-year-old will offer competition to Bernd Leno who lost his trust under coach Mikel Arteta. The German has conceded some goals costing the club crucial points.
