A last minute free kick by striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal a three two win against Aston Villa at the Emirates.

Aston Villa took an early lead in the 20th minute when John McGinn tapped home from close range thanks to an El Ghazi’s assist.

Arsenal drew level from the penalty spot when newly signed forward Nicholas Pepe score his first goal of the club.

Youngster Maitland Niles was shown a red card after he was handed a second yellow card in the first half for tripping.

Pepe’s goal was challenged in less than two minutes when Wesley converted a cross from Jack Grealish in the 60th minute.

Substitute Calum Chambers levelled things up from close range gaving home fans hope of an incredible comeback.

Aubameyang ensued maximum points for Unai Emery curling home a wonderful freekick with only six minutes left.

It was the second win for Arsenal in a week having defeated Eintracht Frankfurt in the group stages of the champions league.

The win takes the Gunners to fourth place two points behind Manchester City and tied in points with Leicester.

Aston villa on the other side are stuck at the third last position with only win in six games played.
