Health officials in Austria have suspended one AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine batch following the death of one person and admission of another person after receiving a jab.
In a statement, the authorities confirmed to have received two reports that of one who died and the other one who was taken ill after they were vaccinated from the same batch.
The death involved a 49-year-old woman who sulfured coagulation disorder after receiving the jab and the second one involved a 35-year-old woman who suffered a pulmonary failure caused by a blood clot.

At the moment their is no connection between the vaccine and the two cases as authorities work closely to determine the cause.
Reports also reveal that the two women are nurses at one clinic with blood clot and coagulation being none of the symptoms exhibited by the vaccine to these moment.
AstraZeneca has not yet commented on the matter but according to Reuters they have been in contact with Austrian authorities and are helping them with the investigations.
