Aubameyang attacked by four armed robbers at his Barcelona home

Former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was on Sunday night attacked by four armed men at his home in Castelldefels, Barcelona.

The four attackers are reported to have made entry through his garden when they threatened the Barcelona forward and his family before beating him up.

A police report indicates that the armed robbers managed to threaten the player and his wife before opening the family safe and making away with jewels in their Audi A3.

“Barça player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suffered a violent robbery this morning at his home in Castelldefels. At least four men have climbed into the garden, threatened him with firearms and iron bars, and beat him.” said El Pais

Abumeyang’s wife was the first person to report the incident to the police after it took place one in the morning as confirmed by the media.

It is an unusual scene where players are attacked while at home as many robbers target the homes of footballers when no one is there looking for any valuables as was the case with Jordi Alba back in 2018.
