Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has departed AFCON competition and sent back to Arsenal following recent medical examination.
The Gabon striker is expected to undergo further medical examinations to confirm his recent discovered heart complication before he was sidelined for his team in the competition.
The news is a blow to Arsenal who have several of their players missing and attending to international duty including the likes of Mohammed Elneny, Thomas Parteyand Nicolas Pepe.

It was due to the shortage in the number of first eleven players that the much-awaited clash with Tottenham was postponed over the weekend as the club re-evaluated its squad ahead of Liverpool clash.
Other players missing include Martin Odegaard due to illness as Bukayo Saka and Cedric recuperating from injuries.
Arsenal is now sited in 5th position with 35 points, two pints below Westham who have played two games more than the Gunners.
