Gospel singer Bahati has on Monday cried foul after he was allegedly told to step down as Jubilee aspirant for Mathare parliamentary seat.
Addressing the media, Bahati was in tears as he called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and the party leader of Jubilee to kindly give the youth a chance to run the country. “Give the youths a chance to lead,” Said Bahati
Two days ago, the singer took to social media to celebrate his victory after he was awarded a nomination certificate by Jubilee Party saying that it has been a long time since the people of Mathare got an MP made from Mathare.

“I Don’t Know how to Celebrate This… I Don’t Know if I should Cry or Pray… This is a Dream Come True not Only to Me as Bahati; But to the Youth & my People of Mathare Who for só Long Have Been Praying for an MP Made in Mathare. For Sure it’s not been Easy Competing Against.” Said Bahati
The singer now joins comedian MC Jessy who ditched United Democratic Alliance (UDA) after he was asked to shelve his political ambitions and join DP William Ruto’s campaign team.
Jessy took to social media to confirm that he will vie for the South Imenti parliamentary seat as an independent candidate come August 2022.
