Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has on Tuesday confirmed his resignation from the Spanish club in a live video conference.
The news comes after some push and pull between the now former President and the club following dwindled success on and off the pitch.
Josep has not only resigned but will leave with his entire board pending confirmation of a new board that will transition Barcelona into winning ways.

Speaking on Tuesday, Josep Maria Bartomeu also confirmed that the La Ligue giants will be joining the European Super League.
European Super League is a new competition in the making that will involve top European clubs competing to the trophy and money.
Several clubs are currently in discussion and plans of funding it also in discussion ahead of it unveiling probably next season.
Argentine star Lionel Messi has been among the recent players unsatisfied with the rule of Josep and has openly revealed that something needs to be done.
The news came after the Argentine handed over his transfer application which was turned down as teammate Luis Suarez’s contract was terminated.
