“Barcelona have reached total agreement with Pedri to extend his contract until June 2026, here we go! New deal to be signed in the next hours/days. Final clauses agreed and fixed too. EXCL: new release clause for Pedri will be €1B (one billion).

The release clause included in Pedri’s new contract will be historical for Barcelona. 1B euros, one billion – 1.000 millones de euros. It’s gonna be higher clause in Barça history. Announcement expected this week from FCB – Pedri and his agent accepted the proposal.” Said Fabrizio Romano.

The news comes at a time when former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has been linked with a move Barcelona following the poor results currently being registered by the Spanish giants.

Pirlo ruled out any ongoing discussion but revealed how open things may turn out if an offer comes along in future.

“Andrea Pirlo’s agent Tinti about Barcelona rumours: “Barça job? We’re not in talks with any club as things stand now. But who knows what’s gonna happen in the future…”.Said Fabrizio
