Spanish giants Barcelona are rumoured to be selling the naming rights of Camp Nou for $479 million as the club plans for a major re-brand.
Camp Nou is the second largest stadium the world and the largest in Europe with a capacity of 99,354.
Built in 1954, the stadium name change will be followed by ground renovations that will see an increase in capacity. In addition to that there will be improved facilities come 2022.
Barcelona is hoping that their domestic and European success will facilitate in the branding process.
Initially the price for the naming rights was set at $319 million but following advice from the local council, the price was increased to a whopping $500 million.
Manchester City and Arsenal are some of the clubs that have previously sold there naming rights to ther sponsors Etihad Airways and Fly emirates respectively.
