Barclays Bank of Kenya robbed millions from four of its ATMs

Four Barclays Bank ATM’s have been robbed off over 11 million at different locations in Nairobi over the weekend.

Confirming the incident was Barclays Bank of Kenya who confirmed that four of its ATM were robbed and that they are working with investigators to bring the perpetrators to justice.

About 6.29 million was stolen from an ATM in Mutindwa area, 4.3 million at Kenyatta National Hospital and 1 million from the Meter Hospital.

A police reports indicates that of the surveillance cameras was smeared with petroleum jelly to obstruct view while the of meter had no camera nor a guard.

Barclays Bank of Kenya assured its customers that they can continue to access their services through their ATM’s country wide or through the internet banking channels.
