Barrak Muluka has tendered his resignation as Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General to pave way for a new beginning at the party.
In a letter issued by the outgoing Secretary-General, Muluka said his move was to allow the party make important decisions leading to the 2022 general elections.
- Ruto to drop out of presidential race, to endorse Mudavadi
- Mudavadi donates Ksh 633K to AFC Leopards
- Blow for Wetangula as Registrar of Parties okays removal
He continued by saying that the party was congested and that his stay will not add any value but instead step down and allow them make critical leadership decisions.
Muluka further confirms to have instructed the registrar of political parties to strike out his name from ANC as he is now without a party.
He thanked Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC for the opportunity he was given as he wished them all the best in their political journey.
ANC as a party recently made a number of changes in their constitution that barred the party Musalia Mudavadi being someone else running mate in the coming election. That being done, it left him as the sole running mate under the party.
Recent meeting between Mudavadi and allies to DP William Ruto have raised questions over a possible coalition between the two leaders.
