Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are set to meet African champions Al Ahly in the FIFA World Cup semifinals.
The meeting follows a 1-0 win by Al Ahly who faced Qatar side Al Duhail on Thursday. Hussein El Shahat scored the only goal of the match tanks to a long range shot.
In the other semifinal of the day will be that of Palmeiras from South America and Tigres from Mexico, a match that will be played on Sunday this week.

Andre-Pierre Gignac netted twice for Tigres beating Ulsan from South Korea 2-1 on Thursday to book a meeting with the South America champions.
The news comes at a time when Bayern Munich top the Bundesliga table with 45 points, 5 points ahead of second placed RB Leipzig. Dortmund stand at position 6 with 32 points.
The Germans have only lost two of the 19 matches so far played thus making them favourite to list the cup after their encounter with al Ahly come Monday.
