Betting firms in the country are set to suspend its operations starting Monday midnight and through out Tuesday so as to allow Kenyans vote for their preferred candidate.
The news follows advise by the Betting Control and Licensing Board that would like all Kenyans to exercise their constitutional rights come Tuesday, 9th August 2022.
The news is in line with several other companies who have confirmed closure of their businesses to allow their employees vote. The companies include supermarkets and banking institutions across the country.

Bar owners have also been advised by the government to close early on Monday to allow Kenyans to go home early and wake up in the morning so as to vote.
Even though Kenyans are eager to vote, the transport sector has hiked fare making it hard for those travelling upcountry to go on time to beat last minute rush.
