Bhang worth Ksh 500K impounded in Kiganjo, Kiambu county

Police acting on intelligence report impounded six sack and 53 packages of a drug suspected to be bhang in Kiganjo, Kiambu County.

“An intelligence-led operation conducted in Kiganjo, Kiambu county led to impounding of six sacks and 53 polythene packages of drug suspected to be bhang.” Said National Police Service (NPS)

The dusk operation saw the recovery of the drugs from on suspect identified as Sammy Boy who narrowly escaped the hands of the police. A manhunt has since been launched.

“The dusk operation directed to a house linked to a suspect identified as Samuel alias Sammy Boy of Ucekeine Mundoro area where the haul of bhang with an estimated street value of Ksh. 500,000 was retrieved from the suspect’s two bedroom house.

The suspect, who narrowly escaped police dragnet, is being sought for to answer to appropriate charges. The National Police Service remains focused in the war against drug and substance abuse and urges the public to support the gains through sensitization campaigns and sharing of prompt information.” Said NPS
