Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi and Emmanuel Nyamweya Ongera have been released on Ksh 300,000 cash bail.
The two were arrested on Monday for allegedly extorting Ksh 17.5 million to pull down a story they had published.
It is alleged that the Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi and friend had already received Ksh 1 million as downpayment before they were nabbed by the DCI.

“Detectives based at Gigiri have today afternoon arrested two suspects namely Cyprian Andama Nyakundi and Emmanuel Nyamweya Ong’era after successful investigations touching on extortion, blackmail and false accusations.”
The article in question is said to have been published in October last year about Victoria Commercial Bank and how they allegedly extort cash.
Confirming the arrest was the DCI who said they have arrested the two for blackmail.
