Blue Ivy secures a Grammy nomination at 8-years

Blue Ivy Carter the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce has earned herself a Grammy nomination after featuring in her mother’s Brown skin girl video.

This is the second achievement for the 8-year-old after she was in the Billboard’s top 100 thanks to the song when it was released back in 2019.

If she is nominated come January 31st, 2021, Blue Ivy will be second youngest to scoop the award coming behind Leah Peasall who featured in Coen Brother’s O Brother, Where Art Thou song.

Also included in the nomination is Wizkid who was heavily involved in the graphics of the video as Beyonce herself bags nine nominations this year.

Other videos that Blue Ivy has featured include Spirit and Bigger alongside her mother gaining her the much needed recognition.

The recognition has seen her bag a NAACP image award back in February and Soul Train Award in 2020.
