Bob Collymore set to buried on Tuesday 2nd July

Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore will be buried on Tuesday 2nd July as revealed by the company board chair Nicholas Ng’ang’a  on Monday.

Ng’ang’a further revealed that Bob Collymore’s final sendoff will be a private affair which will be attended by “those who cared”

A memorial service will also be held to celebrate the life and times of the Safaricom CEO on Wednesday or Thursday subject to confirmation.

On who will take over the late Bob Collmore’s position, Mr. Ng’ang’a said it is subject to discussion during a private meeting.

Kenya at large is mourning the death of a dedicated leader who took the company to new heights in Africa.

Confirming his death Monday morning, Safaricom PLC said that the late succumbed to cancer at his Nairobi home.

Various Kenyan leaders have been saddened by his death terming it as a great loss to Kenya.

President Uhuru Kenyatta termed him as a dedicated corporate leader whose contribution to the country’s wellbeing will be missed.

“It is with deep sadness that I have this morning received news of the death of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore after years of battling cancer. As a country, we’ve lost a distinguished corporate leader whose contribution to our national wellbeing will be missed” Said President Uhuru Kenyatta
