Boni Khalwale’s daughter trapped inside Riverside building

Ex-Kakamega Senetor Boni Khalwale’s daughter is among those trapped inside the attacked building on 14 Riverside Drive in Nairobi.

Taking on Twitter Mr. Khalwale said that he was at the scene of the terrorist attack In Chiromo as he daughter is among those trapped inside the building.

“Am on the scene of the terrorist attack in Chiromo. My daughter is trapped in the building under attack” Said Mr. Boni.

Speaking after the suspected terror attack, the IG Mr. Joseph Boinet confirmed that the gunmen are still held inside the building as efforts underway to flush them out.

He continued by saying that several people have been rescued as more efforts are underway to rescue those trapped inside the building.

Red Cross message

Red Cross on their part has publicized hotlines that people can use to search for their loved ones. The hotlines are 0715 820219 and 1199.

A blood appeal has also been sent out by various hospital around Nairobi so as to assist the injured during the attack.

Further reports indicate that 6 out of the 7 storey building has been secured as State House warns the public from sharing videos of the terror attack.

The move is to stop aiding the suspected terrorist with information. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations have on their side issued a telephone number belonging to the head of Flying squad for the purpose of sharing any information received.

“For all those that are receiving information. Please use this number 0722839978 belonging to Musa Yego, the Head of Flying Squad as the alternative to sharing the information.Thank you.” Said the DCI
