Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro tests COVID-19 negative

President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil has tested negative for COVID-19 in an update by the president on social media.

Posing a room after weeks of staying in quarantine Bolsonaro was holding a packet of what appeared to be hydroxychloroquine, an anti malaria drug believed to treat the virus.

He has however not confirmed when he got tested to confirm the results, He was first confirmed to be positive for the virus on 7th July.

Since then he has been spending most of the rime in his residence and conducting meeting through video conferences.

At one point he was seen in the public where he even waved to the crowd before removing his mask.

Bolsonaro has been rigid to admit the consequences of coronavirus as he even moved around with a mask in similar fashion as President Donald Trump.

At the moment, cases of the virus in Brazil are second to the U.S as death cases hit 85,000.
