A British soldier has been killed by an elephant in Malawi during a counter-poaching operation.
Mathew Talbot, 22 years was a first Battalion Coldstream guard when he was killed by the elephant on 5th of May.
The late Mathew has been described as determined and hardworking and who served with great courage and professionalism.
The death of the British soldier has also been termed as some of the dangers the military goes through as they protect the lives of the endangered species.
Mathew has left behind a father, mother, one sister and girlfriend.
