Haaland opened scoring in the 29th minute thanks to a Hazard assist that he tapped past Schalke goalkeeper Schubert.

In the 45th minute Guerreiro scored his first goal under the pandemic slotted home and assist from Brandit.

At the end of the first half Schalke looked overpowered mentally and by the pace of their opponents of the day.

Come the second half, the visitors were more frustrated as the home team created more chances and broke their defense.

Three minutes into the second half Hazard crossed the ball to Brandit who then returned it back before he sent it to the top corner of the post.

Guerriro completed the four goals demolition when he completed a counter attack sending the ball into the far lower corner of the goal.

Players at the game were not allowed to come together to celebrate a goal as was the case before the pandemic.

The same was the case when substitutes were coming in.They were not allowed to touch hands.

The results leave Dortmund a point league leaders Bayern Munich with 54 points as Schalke stands at eight position with 37 points.
