Businessman goes on a killing spree out of nowhere

A businessman at Muiruri market has on Monday killed two people as he went on a killing sprea.

The suspect identified as Joseph Kileru is said to have begun the killing spree sparing no one standing on his way including school going children.

According to the wife to the businessman, trouble began when a customer came to his shop blaming Kileru of killing for killing his camel.

The stranger of Somali descent went ahead to threaten Joseph Kileru of severe consequences following the act.

Efforts by the wife to reconcile the two failed as the husband rubbished the claims as false.

When the customer left, Kileru admitted to having attacked the camel out of anger when it destroyed his car.

He then threatened the wife over the issue before leaving the shop with his car keys and a machette.

Eyewitnesses said the suspect rammed into a stationery car as he sped off injuring five women who were taken to a hospital for treatment.

He then came out of the car when it hit a tree killing anyone with his machette including a waitress in a bar and a butchery attendant.

Other businessmen in the area closed their shops in fear as people scamppered for safety.

He is the said to have taken off in a standby motocycle to a nearby area where he continued his killing spree.

Police officers swung into action searching for Joseph Kileru but in vain.

Members of the puclic have been warned that the criminal is armed and dangerous and should report to the nearest station with any information leading to his arrest.
