After suffering a 2-0 defeat against Brazil in the opening clash, Serbia looked sharp as Aleksandar Mitrović came close to the opener only for his effort to hit the woodwork. Jean-Charles Castelletto gave Cameroon the lead after meeting Nicholas Nkoulou’s flick in the 29th minute.

Serbia responded afterwards with two quick goals from Strahinja Pavlović and Sergej Milinković-Savić whose efforts went past goalkeeper Devis Epassy, who was replacing André Onana who had been dismissed from the team over disciplinary issues.

Mitrović ensued the results were up and in favour of Serbia only for Vincent Aboubakar to spoil the party for the Serbians. Aboubakar netted the second for the Indomitable lions and provided an assist for  Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting who leveled things between the two sides.
