South African 800m champion Caster Semenya has lost in a landmark ruling IAAF meaning they will regulate testosterone levels in female athletes.
28-year old Caster Semenya challenged the athletes governing body but the Court of Arbitration for sports rejected her case.
Following the ruling, the South African champion pointed out that IAAF has targeted her specifically.
She continued by saying that such set backs have made her stronger and that she will continue o inspire many women around the world.
The ruling will mean that Caster Semenya will be forced to take medications in order to compete in her races or change to another distance.
Even though her challenge was rejected, Semenya is eligible to run at the Diamond league in Doha Qatar and that that she still has 30 days to make an appeal.
