Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheri has been admitted at the Mater Hospital in Nairobi after contracting COVID-19.
According to Nation, the Archbishop who doubles up as the chairman of the Interfaith Council sent a message to worshippers in the archdioceses of Nyeri.
In his message he revealed to have contracted the virus as he seeks faithfuls to pray for him as well as other patients receiving treatment in various hospitals and at home.

He continued by revealing that his condition has improved as he can sleep and eat well even though he is under the assistance of oxygen.
The news comes as the country records increasing number of COVID-19 cases including the recent 38 cases confirmed at Marafa Secondary School in Kilifi.
All the affected students have been self isolated at the same school as they receive medical and basic needs from the county government.
Two days ago, Matungu MP Justus Murungu succumbed to COVID-19 complications days after he was discharged from Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu.
In the same week, a total of four doctors died from the disease in less than a week calling on the government to do more to protect them.
