Chelsea overcame 10 man Southampton to win the clash and go top of the Premier League table on Saturday.
Two late goals from Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell were enough to sink the visitors who had been reduced to 10 men after James Ward-Prowse was sent off following a rough challenge on Jorginho.
Trevoh Chalobah an academy product of Chelsea put the host ahead nine minutes after kickoff when Ruben Loftus-Cheek flicked a ball from Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell tripped Tino Livramento , a former Chelsea player and the penalty was converted by James Ward-Prowse in the 61st minute of the clash. Southampton could not hold on Chelsea’s pressure after he was sent off.
The win was a relief for Thomas Tuchel side after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Juventus in the Champions League over the week. It also took them to the top of the table with 16 points from seven matches played.
Southampton is now a point above relegation zone with four points from the same seven matches played.
The battle of the top guns continues on Sunday when Liverpool host Manchester City who ended Chelsea’s unbeaten run in the campaign. They will look forward doing the same against Klopp’s side.
