Chelsea complete Gonzalo Higuain loan move

Chelsea football club has officially announced the signing of 31 year old Gonzalo Higuain from Italian side Juventus.

Higuain had spent half of the season on loan at AC Milan where he managed to score eight goals.

The Argentine forward will bring a ton of experience in Chelsea having shown his attacking quality when playing for Argentine, Spain and Italy.

Gonzalo will rejoin his former manager Maurizio Sarri when he played for Napoli in the 2015/16 season. He completed the season with 36 goals being the highest goal scorer and breaking a long Italian record.

The 31 year old will wear the number nine shirt as confirmed by Chelsea following his arrival.

In a statement Gonzalo Higuain expressed his joy of joining Chelsea saying that he is happy to play for Premier league, a league that he has dreamt of playing one day.

Chelsea’s director Marina Granovskaia said that Huguain was there number on transfer target and having him play under his previous coach will be great considering his play resembles that of Chelsea.

Marina cannot wait for Gonzalo’s impact on Chelsea.

“Gonzalo was our number one target in this transfer window and arrives with a proven record at the highest level. He has previously worked with Maurizio to great effect and is familiar with how the coach likes to play.

‘This was not an easy deal for us to do because of the numerous parties involved, but we are delighted we were able to make it happen and we look forward to seeing the impact Gonzalo will make for us in the second half of the season.”Said Marina Granovaskaia
