Businessman Chris Obure and his bodyguard Robert Bodo who are key suspects in the murder of Kevin Omwega have been released on Ksh 50,000 cash bail.
Chris Obure was charged for failing to have his gun safely secured and was accessed by his body guard who is the prime suspect in the shooting.
Bodo was captured on CCTV camera accessing the offices of Obure where he took the gun as he seemed to be talking to someone else over the walkie-takie.

When the incident happened, he was seen several times walking in and out of the apartment before the body of Kevin was carried out as he was being rushed to the hospital.
Robert Bodo remained behind where he is believed to have sneaked into Obure’s office to return the gun as seen in a CCTV footage loading it before leaving the office.
“Robert Ouko Bodo and Chris Obure who are accused in the Murder of the late Kelvin Ombati Omwenga were today charged with four counts under the Firearms Act at Milimani Law Courts before Hon. Sinkian Tobiko, and were each released on Ksh. 50,000 cash bail.
The two are to remain in custody pending the ruling on a bail application made on the murder charge, whose hearing was fixed for Monday 14th September, 2020.”Said DCI Kenya
