Juventus forward Christiano Ronaldo has been issued with a warrant to provide DNA sample following rape allegations.

The warrant is part of a standard request and it was recently sent to a court in Italy.

Ronaldo who is accused of Kathryn Mayorga back in 2009 in Las Vegas denied the allegations.

Mayorga is said to have filed a report to the Las Vegas police shortly after the incident but in 2010 an out of court settlement was reached between Mayorga and Christiano where she was paid $ 375,000 to never go public with the matter.

In a new turn of events Mayorga’s lawyers are seeking to declare the agreement as void.

Mayorga was inspired to speak through the #Me too movement with the lawsuit being presented in Las Vegas.

In October, the Portuguese striker denied the allegations terming them as “fake news” through his Twitter account.
